Here is Tilda in lilac.

And Now For Something Completely Different

And Now For Something Completely Different, no, I'm not watching Monty Python, but made this card.

My inspiration was feed with these and many more pictures I saw on Internet:

Beautiful, aren't they. Challenging was to make is black and white only, sort of silhouettes.

Heh, photos are not too good, and sure I blame reflection on acetate. Never mind, here we go.

There was a challenge I particularly liked, because it wasn't easy. Sort of.

White 5x7 card blank
Black card stock
White card stock
Golden Brown card stock

This is made for couple of challenges. No surprise!

For a change very Clean and Simple card, no frills.

Flexmarkers works quite okay and over line colouring is almost on purpose. Well, that's my excuse, what's yours? Hihi.

Aww... she is lovely, isn't she. Sentiment came with Mo Manning's latest gorgeous digi stamp "Duckface" but come on, it is just sooooo good for this, too.

Sky is a bit greyish, but it was what it was like this afternoon here in Yorkshire.

Around the World Part I

Through the years I've managed to get few Magnolia stamps, although they don't have nose, neither mouth, there is something about them... Backgrounds are fabulous, and suit almost everywhere, windows, doors, furniture for example.

Well, to cut a long story short, here is Tilda in Australia.

Hooray, I got masking right! This fence (barbed, :( not user friendly) is also stamp from Magnolia.

Flexmarkers seem to suit me with Tilda, because of their flexibility, hahah, now I finally got it! (I'm kidding.) Name, I mean. Anyhow, Flexmarkers act very differently than Promarkers, my opinion, not Letraset's.

I LOVE the result. Tilda is in Australia travelling around the world and after lots of raining in April, those fantastic flowers come up. Well, no idea when it is raining in Oz, but this is my back story, heheh.

What did I need:

Card stock - Papermill, Craftwork Cards, Lidl and Homebargains
Card blank - Craft UK
Stamps Magnolia - Koala Hugs Tilda and Barbed Fence
Ink - Stampin Up Early Espresso and Crumb Cake
Colouring - Flexmarkers
Die cuts - Joy Crafts, Marianne, Spellbinders, Sizzix
Corner - Silhouette freebie
DP - First Edition
Pearls, twine - stash

Challenge or two or more

Totally Tilda -  #94 Use Fence Die or Stamp
Tilda's Town – # 101 April showers bring may flowers
Marvelous Magnolia - #66 Anything Goes (Beginners category)

One Crazy Stamper - Anything Goes no digis

Ok, that's it! I hope this gets me some encouragement to continue trying to make Magnolia Tilda and Edwin look alive(ish)

It would be lovely to have some feedback. What is good publicly and what is bad, of course in private :D :D Nah, it's just although I have pile of these stamps, I've always found it so very difficult to colour them. Trying to get colours blend. Getting emotions shown. Oh boy.

Here are my previous colouring attempts:

Bright and Shine

First easel for a long time. Well, it was about the to make one, eh? Yes! It is when inspiration hits you...

Beautiful Lili of the Valley stamp and quite minimalistic colouring, because all extras were strong and bright. I didn't want to make too much noise.

All flowers are homemade from scraps and they fitted nicely with the image and frame.

Oh, need to confess. I made a wrong folding first and then I had to cover it up, hahah! Like this: Strong and shiny satin polkadot ribbon around the wrong fold and voila'!

 Bow is spot on.

Best of Friends Part Two

Lovely windy Sunday here is Yorkshire and it would be just fantastic to go for a brisk walk. Or take the washing out to dry. Or sit at the craft room table and make something. Heh, here is the latest from the craft room table!

This is stamp from Art Impressions and all their stamps makes me laugh, designer really has captured the best facial expressions and gestures and postures.

Those beautiful staples are from Tonic Studios.

It was only yesterday when I said that won't be using light lines regularly, but here we are. Crumb Cake from Stampin Up was perfect for this. Really nice lines for this sort of pastel colouring.

Peach Babe

At Bella and Bronte's Clubhouse an idea came up to recolor stamp lines using light colours/ink before coloring the image . I've tried this method couple of years ago, but for some reason never made anything worth blogging.

It really makes a difference and although I won't start doing this regularly, it is getting you out of your rut (not saying that I'm in the rut, noooooh! Am I? Blimey!).

Usually I print/resize/flip etc digi stamp with either MS Publisher or Gimp, and 4 or 5 images on A4.

Wow, not even one flower! Instead there are "just a couple" of little hearts and couple of pearls.

Wonderful warm spring, sun is shining here in Leeds, West Yorkshire and sky is bright. Soon if not already, we'll see butterflies and wonderful colours of spring.

I like the image how lines changed it. Totally.
Those two little legs are imo probably the best part of the card. Heh.

Lets list the materials:

Cardstock - Papermill Direct
Embossing Folder - Darice

Look! There Is a Cat!

Argh, this stamp is so difficult to colour... Here we are, with warts and all. I LOVE these big cat stamps, but feel like it is impossible to get colours/colorine right. Stamp is very very detailed and it might be the problem for me :D Hahah.

I'm drawn to use oranges and browns at the moment, as you can see.
