Mr Leeds United Snowman

Blizzard hit a West Yorkshire house. Thankfully only in a craftroom :)

There is a house.

Mr Leeds United Snowman.

Standing strong together,
we gonna see through snow!
We are so cold,
we shout it out so loud,
we love you snow, snow, SNOW!

Few Months Till Summer

There's not much of daylight at the moment, and if there is, it's hiding behind cloudy and foggy weather. This Sassy Cheryl's digital stamp is just perfect. It cheers you up and your pencils and markers really want to get the job done. Good or bad, doesn't matter, as long as I enjoy it!

It's clearly school closing for summer holiday
and girl celebrates it with new markers she was given.
She's painting grass green and daisies blooming.
Heh, almost coloured one marker red,
then of course it would be easy to say
she's painting town red. ;)

    A Shoe Tower --- Really?

Where to go for a good looking, holding minimum of 72 cards, easy to lift and move around card stand?

    1. Look around for ideas. Find a great idea from Leikkaan Mervi's blog .
    2. Shop around.
    3. Buy a Revolving Shoe Tower! (£6.58)

    Height 84cm (33")
    Diameter 28cm (11")
    Base diameter 22cm (8 3/4")

This one holds stamps and stuff. I went through drawers and found "few" pots and tubes of glitters and glues, now they all are just there easily to grab. This works perfectly for me, because doesn't need lots of desk space, and of course the price was GREAT :)

Binder rings would be good (as on the pic), but because of they are quite pricey, I might settle with key rings. Argh, it will take ages to twist and curl them around. Well...

Easily holds 72 cards and more if you want to go and show your cards.

    Exploding Box Freebie

I saw a bit different exploding box and thought, well, I'll try something.
No decorations or anything, because I just wanted to publish the freebie.

    1. Here's the box.

    2. Another pic of the box.

    3. This is very very very easy to make, and I drew a sketch.
You need 21 cm x 21 cm square.

    4. Lid/top/hat
You need 13.5 cm x 13.5 cm square.

    Hope you like it. :)

New Life for Old Mug Tree

New Life for Old Mug Tree
    and more

I like recycling and finding low price solutions for my craft stuff. Here are few ideas.

Old mug tree. Sentimental value is priceless and of course it is nice. My friend, Andrea gave it to me almost 20 years ago and here it is now on my craft desk.

Those bags, what are they? They are left over CD bags from CD storage boxes and they make perfect stamp pouches.

Glass coffee jars are good flower jars. My friend Sharon saves these particular jars for me and I really appreciate it.

CD storages. 99 pence each from discount store made perfect marker pen carriers and they look cool. Keep marker pens nicely and easy to carry if needed.

CD racks from ebay, 99 pence each. Now they have a new life keeping stamps and miscellaneous pens and markers on order. Biscuit tins holding glues and stickles :)

More recycling stuff coming soon. LP record is a clock on the wall and shoe box with old table lamp is a perfect light box! :)

In 'artford, 'ereford and 'ampshire 'urricanes 'ardly hever 'appen

My very favourite musical with wonderful performances from Rex Harrison and unforgettable  Audrey Hepburn among many many others.

Why telling you all this? Because of this beautiful stamp!

If you look at the butterfly you'll see the screws! Hih, those are from Tim Holtz collection, small screw top brads. Cool, innit! :)

    Johnny and Maria, Part II

    Remember this?

Today it was the Part II.

    Congratulations, Mr and Mrs.

All cream and red. I made those cream roses yesterday and wedding cake tiers I made earlier, but today was the all decorations. Everything was covered with cream hammered card, then lace, then roses.
After cake was glued on the base, I thought pearls would give the final sweet touch.

    Edit 6 August 2012
Before the wedding I asked bride's sister, what's the colour scheme and Jodie told me it's cream and red. I've now seen few pics and I think those 3 red roses are a good match!

3 roses symbolize a 3-core marriage, husband, wife and God.

Of course I had few challenges in my mind

Yep, this is my sister, Tupu. I'm useless to keep contact but when I saw this image, I "had to have her" and honour my sister. Poor lass, broke her ankle and had pot for 12 weeks!!!

It's been weird not been blogging, but I've been so so so tired. Love coloring and making things, but oh dear, how I could sleep 20 hrs a day. :D Old age, old age... I thought the older you get, less you need sleep.

    Octagon Box

Clearly I have some sort of storage box fever at the moment. After I got this pigeon holes unit, there is no more (awful) mess in my craft room.
This one is Very Important. Ok, I need needles and pins (immediately a song plays here in my head "Needles and Pins"!) and if there is loose box, all are always on the floor or nowhere to be found. Only after OUCH!
Made a box for pins and needles. Needles and Pins! It's just a simple octagon with double bottom and double lid/top. After glued together got a piece of styrox cut the shape, covered with thin fabric.

    2 x A4
    Octagon shape - Spellbinders
Stamp - Magnolia (well I was going to write "Needles and Pins" because image was just so good for the need.
    Ribbon - stash
Ticket shapes - Sizzix Framelits + paper stack cover sheet :)

    Challenges I made this for

    Till next time :)

    Box

Couldn't get sleep so I thought well, lets make something!

This is a "New Home" box.
All you need for the basic box:
2 x A4 cardstock (depending the size of the box, ofcourse
    glue
ribbon (it gives a bit of flexibility, if the lid is not "perfect size")

Image is the same on every side, freebie from A Day for Daisies.
4 sides, 4 different shades of green and dress colour.
Blossoms on the tree are, or suppose to be, same colour as girl's dress.
Lots of yellow like bright sunshine.

Image - A Day for Daisies
Colorine - Promarkers and Distress ink
    Corner cutting - Fiskars scissors
    Ribbon - stash
Sentiment - Lili of the Valley
